Expert staff will provide an overview of the NASDTEC Clearinghouse as well as details instructions on how to utilize the online platform. Participants will learn how to efficiently check credentials and work history of certificated applicants during the on-boarding process. The Clearinghouse can report “egregious misconduct”\, as well as\, other red flags that may require further review or clarification. \n  \nIntended Audience: Human Resources personnel working with the NASDTEC platform. SUMMARY:SB 848: Where to Begin: SSPs and New CSA Prevention Mandates
DESCRIPTION:SB 848 sets new statewide standards to prevent childhood sexual abuse and professional boundary violations in K–12 schools. This hands-on workshop equips school leaders to meet the law’s requirements efficiently and effectively with newly developed resources from the ASCIP CAARE Program. Participants will be guided through key components of the legislation\, including school safety plan updates\, boundary policies (due by July 1\, 2026)\, student instruction (beginning July 1\, 2027)\, staff training\, incident response\, and safer hiring practices.
