Additional Information:

Indoor air quality (IAQ) can impact the health, comfort, well-being and productivity of building occupants. Though it is a major concern, it is not a simple, easily defined concept like a leaky faucet. IAQ involves complex factors such as: sources and pathways of pollutants and odors; design, maintenance and operation of building ventilation systems; moisture and humidity; and occupant perceptions and susceptibilities.

We will discuss the factors that affect IAQ, comfort issues, and the role of district personnel and occupants in maintaining a healthy indoor environment.  You will learn:

  • the tools to address student and staff concerns regarding headaches, allergies, and other non-specific intermittent symptoms, and

  • how to determine when an IAQ assessment is needed, thereby eliminating the need for potentially extensive, expensive, and sometimes unnecessary testing.

If you have any questions, please contact Kimberly Kennedy at (562) 404-8029.

There is no charge to attend this event for ASCIP members or our invited guests.
