Supports to Safeguard Secondary Students from CSA
Recognizing that school athletics is one of the highest-risk environments for adult misconduct, this session will introduce new tools, resources, and programs to help schools implement a structural shift or focus that prioritizes child sexual assault prevention. At the center of this approach is a powerful peer-to-peer prevention and leadership program designed specifically for middle and high school student-athletes. By incorporating clear expectations, updated handbook materials, consistent adult modeling, and student-led leadership into the daily rhythm of sports, this model transforms athletics into a safer, more intentional space for all participants. Attendees will walk away with practical tools, replicable resources, and real-world strategies they can immediately apply to strengthen safeguards within their athletic programs.
Target Audience: Athletic Directors, Coaches, School Admin, Cabinet Members, Directors of Ed Services, Directors of Support Services
