SB 848: Where to Begin: SSPs and New CSA Prevention Mandates
SB 848 sets new statewide standards to prevent childhood sexual abuse and professional boundary violations in K–12 schools. This hands-on workshop equips school leaders to meet the law’s requirements efficiently and effectively with newly developed resources from the ASCIP CAARE Program. Participants will be guided through key components of the legislation, including school safety plan updates, boundary policies (due by July 1, 2026), student instruction (beginning July 1, 2027), staff training, incident response, and safer hiring practices. Attendees will leave with clear guidance, real-world examples, and ready-to-use templates to streamline compliance and build a stronger culture of safety.
